About Us

I’m Matt Drifmeyer and I grew up in Franconia, Virginia. I am the youngest of six children in a family rooted in hard work and strong values. My father served in the Army, and my mother dedicated herself to raising our family. Though modest in means, we had everything necessary for a happy, healthy life.

In our household, respect, ethics, and hard work were non-negotiable. These values have guided my life and career choices. When I encountered workplace environments that conflicted with my principles, I knew it was time to change. Eventually, I found my calling in home inspection, where I could maintain the highest ethical standards while working independently.

My background in the automotive repair industry—spanning mechanical and collision repair—fostered a meticulous approach and a passion for problem-solving. Combined with my curiosity for how things work, this experience has shaped me into a skilled home inspector. Diagnosing issues in a home is like solving a puzzle, and I take pride in delivering thorough, honest evaluations.

For over 14 years, I’ve been a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors, achieving certification when it was still a voluntary process. I hold certifications in radon testing and mold inspection, enabling me to provide comprehensive assessments and clear guidance to clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor adventures, restoring vintage cars, caring for animals, and gardening. Nature offers me a sense of peace, whether I’m hiking a quiet trail or cultivating a garden.

Home inspection perfectly marries my technical skills, ethical convictions, and love of discovery. It’s a career that allows me to provide valuable services while staying true to my principles.
